Navarra in Spain is famous for sports and rural tourism. It borders with France and it is located in the northern part of Spain. There are high mountains which are perfect for skiing in the winter months. There are some wonderful villages in Navarra that should be visited. The area is rich with historical monuments, landscapes, sightseeing places and buildings and it gives a perfect image of rural Spain to its visitors.
The capital city of Navarra is Pamplona. Another famous city is Tudela which is located in Ebro Valley. The land in and around Tudela is very fertile. It is famous for the production of fruits and vegetables which are widely liked in many areas of Spain. There are ancient buildings, chapels, monasteries and historical places in this city. Olite is another famous city in Navarra. It is famous because it remained the city of Kings in history. It is also a historical city as it has remains from various periods including the Roman period.
There are two famous national parks in Navarra which are Urbai and Aralar. There are many sightseeing villages in the area. There are agriculture fields and beautiful landscapes that are inspiring for visitors belonging to urban areas. A village in Navarra is Puene la Reina. In the eleventh century a bridge was created in this village for the facilitation of pilgrims to Santiago de Compostela. That arched bridge is one of the biggest reasons of fame of this village.
Estella is a famous village which is located in an area where the Navarra Royal Court was established long time ago. This village is very well preserved as the historical buildings are in good shape. Carsastillo is another beautiful village of Navarra. It is famous because there is a monastery in it which was established in the twelfth century. Apart from that there is a tower in the village which was established in seventeenth century. Similarly the cloister in the village was made in fifteenth century and its one of the reasons of its fame.
